The New York Mets lost infielder Ruben Gotay to the rival Braves this afternoon as part of a host of moves.
Gotay was claimed by Atlanta after being put on waivers by the Mets two days ago in part so they could make room for Fernando Tatis on the roster.
For Fernando effin' Tatis????
Good that we also protected Guillermo Mota leaving that scrub Jesus Flores unprotected last year.
And I doubt we'll miss Milledge what with Church and Schneider around.
Boy is it a good thing that Omar stole Santana or this would have been a really rough couple of year for him.
I still think Ambiorix Burgos will rescue him, though.

1. I failed to understand the Register move, he seemed to be performing well in spring training. But now we lost him.
2. Blastings Milledge is off to a fine start.
3. Losing Gotay for Tatis, whose 1.5 good years (8 years ago, BTW) were an OBVIOUS product of 'roids, is outrageous.
With Duque injured, Pelfrey likely to stink, Sanchez injured, and Pedro's inevitable injury, I think a lot of questions are going to arise about the wisdom of Omar's moves in the offseason. No question the Johan trade was a steal, but to be blunt, it's unclear whether that really is enough to get us into the WS. Anything short of WS should be unacceptable, considering the payroll.
You left out "tonight".
As in, "Pedro's inevitable injury tonight."
Wow.
I knew it would happen, but I was expecting that: (a) it would be his arm, and (b) it would be sometime around the All-star break.
nice hammy pull you loser. Who pulls a hammy in FLORIDA weather??? we're not talking about a cold NY night here.
Nice to see delgado's already in mid-season form...
