or do the '08 Mets look strikingly like the '07 Mets?
Let's see: massive numbers of injuries; bullpen blows leads; Scho is useless unless pitching to only one batter, and then only if it is a left-handed hitter; Perez struggles with control; starters only last 6 innings; Maine gets frustrated when a call doesn't go his way and proceeds to lose focus; Mets can't hit Moyer and other washed-up pitchers; Willie can't manage the bullpen; ...

A win is better than a loss, and we desperately needed to staunch the bleeding against the Phils (9 losses in a row), but...
1. I turned off the game after watching that Reyes to Easley debacle of a throw on what should've been a DP in the 2nd inning. I don't mind losing when you just get beat straight up, but when you look like it's the first day of spring training, I've got a problem.
2. Mets only managed 4 hits against a pitcher with an ERA of 6.14. Not too mention, even though he threw SIX BBs in first two innings, they only got 1 R out of that. Without the errors, they lose that game.
3. Pelfrey's line was similar to '07, with 100 pitches thrown after 5 IP, 2 or 3 R, etc.
Pedro, you better get healthy quick since it sounds like El Duque is down for the count, and who knows how long Wise and Sanchez are out. Bullpen is going to be gassed by all-star break at this rate.
Hmmm, mets playing phils, up 3-0. Bullpen blows the lead late in the game. Mets continue to poorly hit mediocre pitching.
i have the strangest feeling of deja vu...
