Possibly, according to Jays' GM.
Which begs the question, what would you consider to be a fair trade for him from the Mets? He's 32, and is enjoying yet another dominant year. Would you give up Beltran for him, straight up? How about Beltran + Parnell?
Alternatively, if we were to trade Beltran (or Reyes or Delgado), would you rather get 2 good players in return instead of 1 great player? Part of me thinks the smarter play might be to pull a Belichick and use our trading chips to round out our team with a lot of good players, instead of continuing to just focus on individual superstars.
I would obviously do Delgado + a weaker player for Halladay (jays wouldn't, of course), and I would do Reyes for Halladay straight up. I don't think I'd do Beltran for Halladay, I'd rather use him to get 2 very good players instead of one great one.

Bro, Delgado has zero trade value. He's in his upper 30s, has a busted hip, may not play again this year, and is not under contract. You couldn't trade Delgado for a bag of balls unless you agreed to pay the remainder of his contract, and for the balls.
While Halladay is incredible, I think we're agreed that this team is not one piece away. And starting pitching, as it turns out, is actually pretty far down the list of needs. The starters have done an adequate job this year, which cannot be said for LF, RF, CF, 2B, SS, 1B, or C. I think at this point, trading for guys who are actually major leaguers to be on the field every day would be good.
However, if the Phils get Hallady I'm going to puke.
Riccardi wants prospects and/or affordable big leaguers. Halladay would require any and every decent prospect we have + Reyes or Wright. I'd guess it would take Reyes, F-Mart, Parnell, Niese to even have a chance at this.
Beltran for Halladay? You're kidding, right? The whole reason Doc is on the block is because the Jays need to cut salary (Vernon Wells is an albatross and they're trying to move Alex Rios and Scott Rolen). The last guy they'd want is Beltran.
We might even be able to sweeten the pot for the Jays by taking Rolen off their hands (might cost us Murphy though) and we could use him at first (or move Wright).
Did you see Murph's web gem the other night? A future batting champion and gold glover, and you want to move him for a washed up Scott Rolen? You've always had an unnatural affection for Rolen, DC.
Boys you're missing the big picture. We ain't got enough in the farms to get Doc plus instead of getting pitching how bout we try gettungs
Bay so we don't go 23 innings without scoring a run
I'm wit you Beetz. I thought I was saying the same thing:
