On the upside, if this meltdown is complete it could free up a bunch of cash. The odds of Pedro, Glavine and Duque retiring should go up substantially. They can't be having much fun right now.
Eddie Coleman just excoriated Reyes on the FAN, which you never him do to a player (not a good career move for a guy who is the clubhouse correspondent and needs access to the players).
He says that all year "Jose comes out after a bad at-bat and the next inning his hat is askew, and he doesn't take ground balls or takes them half-heartedly." Also, "he keeps making the same mistakes at the plate time and time again, and needs to improve his pitch recognition." Finally, he offered that Jose "needs to just play the game" and most pointedly, "needs to grow up."
Ouch.
Wonder if Eddie C will be getting any good interviews with Reyes in the near future.
