Apparently, Glavine wants to play in '08.
Now Omar has to figure out if he has one more good year in that left arm.

My answer on this is "it depends." If re-signing Glavine does NOT come at the expense of a younger pitcher they would like to sign or trade for, then I am all for keeping Glavine on the roster. His resurgence after win #300 shows he still has something left in the tank, and his presence is great for the rookies. So all things being equal, I'd love to keep him.
That said, given his age if you do keep him I think realistically you have to expect that he is only a legit #3 pitcher next year, and Mets need to have a plan in place to have #1 and #2. Hopefully Pedro is one of those two, but I'd really like to have a power guy in there also, since now Glav, Duque, and Pedro are all giving you the same look. Breaking/changeup stuff with pinpoint control, but no speed. Perez (and Maine to some extent) are a nice counter, and of course if Pelfrey stays on roster he is also the speed option, but I'm not sure any of those three are mature or consistent enough yet to be considered legit #1 or #2 for a team whose goal is WS.
