Injuries
Starting to get a little lean in OF, hopefully Gomez' strained hammy is only a day-to-day thing. Otherwise we've got Green, Alou, Milledge, and Gomez all injured, only leaving Beltran, Chavez, and ???.
Amazing that Milledge is missing this opportunity. But scouring the farms, one wonders if Corey Coles will get a shot. Based on his stats he looks like a contact hitter who's average is .375 at Binghamton right now. Apparently he has a good eye on doesn't K a lot (49 in 458 AB's last yr).
He's 25, and has methodically worked his way up the system in an almost textbook fashion, about one stop a year, and getting better at each stop along the way. No idea about his glove or speed, but he's probably in shape at 6-1, 170 (ding).
