NL BEast
The NL East is almost certainly going to be the division to beat in NL over the next few years, if Florida decides to pony up some cash and keep their young stars. Between Mets, Phillies, and Marlins it should be competitive down the stretch, reminiscent of some of the old Mets-Cards-'Spos battles.

Marlins have to do one thing and one thing only: keep Girardi. The young talent will continue to get better. It seems like they'll have a few years before a lot of these guys even get to arbitration and $ becomes an issue. This team is scary.
The Phils had our number this year but they don't really scare me long term. Let's see what they do in the offseason. They don't have any lights-out starting pitching. Myers is a good young pitcher, but not dominant yet. Lieber is old and not that good (except against us). Howard is great. Utley is great. Rollins and Chris Coste round-out a great "up-the-middle" group. But Pat Burrell, David Dellucci, Aaron Rowand, David Bell and Shane Victorino are guys who have started for them this year who don't exactly put the terror in you. If they go out and get Soriano and Zito, I'm open to revising my opinion.
