I wondered if this was a possibility when I saw the article on Friday that his Japanese team basically wasn't going to renew his contract, despite the fact that fans are heavily rallying behind him. This would be outstanding. As pointed out by the Post recently he took a far weaker team than we have today to the WS in 2000. He took his Japanese team and completely turned them around, to their first pennant in something like 30 years.

Bring Bobby V and the fake mustache/glasses disguise back!

I've been yelling this from the mountaintop for the last 5 years--finally someone other than poor Fredo must have heard it...

I'm sure he's sick of hearing me rant about the same thing over and over and over--oh, wait--that's the whole purpose of this blog...

Nevermind.

Rant away. I hope it finally happens.

If Omar doesn't realize this team continues to lose a disproportionate number of games b/c of lack of focus (baserunning errors, fielding errors, etc.), and that Jerry is a substantial part of the problem, then I give up.

Bobby V would probably be the best thing that could happen to this team right now.
