So this is where we are
We're down to Johan possibly pitching on 3 days rest after a 125-pitch marathon outing. There's most likely 2 ways this goes: (1) Johan can only go 5 or 6 innings, after which the bullpen blows whatever good work he did, or (2) he goes 7-8 innings, but is now exhausted for possible Wed playoff game. I hope Johan has the arm strength to pull this off down the stretch, but it's definitely a reach.

Couldn't have said it better myself. That guy just has a way with words.

I have to say the parallels to '07 are remarkable. Sep meltdown due to poor pitching, big win in 2nd to last game to keep hope alive, and everything riding on final game of the season. Here's hoping it turns out better in '08!
I'll bear witness to either a legendary fight to the playoffs or another failure...
I'll give a report of the crowd atmosphere.
