I am a "Second Chance" NLDS ticket raffle winner

Meaning that the first set of winners said, "ain't no way we're making a deposit in the Bank of Shea, only to not get our money back for three months."

Bought four seats.

Shea Hey Kids contributors get first dibs if they'd like to come. SHK? DC? Tix are $67 each, Loge Reserved.

This is starting to stink eerily like '07. Pitching collapses, mets squander lead in pennant race, fredo wins tix to non-existent game...

Too bad Johan can't go 125 pitches, 8 innings every night for the Mets. And even then, no guarantees they win. That's what's really unbelievable: even if Johan is our starter in a game, it means nothing about whether or not we'll win since he's unlikely to throw a CG and that means it's up to our pigpen.

Worst. Joke. Ever.

Well, at least last night can't blame the pen. Mets had man on 3rd, 0 outs, three innings in a row and managed one run. D Wright and Church choked hard last night.

To some extent Mets management are largely to blame for this situation. By dragging out the Willie fired-or-not-fired debacle for so long, it created an enormous clubhouse distraction that clearly weighed heavily on the team. Even with all the injuries, I have to imagine that if Wilpon and Minaya had acted with even an ounce more professionalism earlier this year and settled the Willie decision more quickly one way or the other, we would have picked up at least 3-4 more wins.

The point is that this team should not need to rely on these games down the stretch to make the playoffs. Like the Cubs, they should have already sealed their invitation earlier in the season and be on cruise control now.

"wins tix"....

Yeah, it's weird, after the email from the Mets, I felt like I won the tickets. Yet there it is, that $268 charge on my credit card bill. How did that happen?

Shipping and handling fees, I'm sure.
