Good things about yesterday's game:

1. Ability to win and score tons of runs even though Jose Jose Jose was 0-fer.

2. Ability to bounce back and win, despite Johan stinking and Heilman/Scho crumbling.

3. Argenis Reyes. The future.

4. Delgado. The present. Maybe he's turned this thing around? We only need him to do it for this season.

Nice win. But I gotta say, I absolutely hate when the Mets have to play games in either Philadelphia or Cincinnati.

Both of those parks are f'in clown shoes. No lead is ever safe because of ridiculous park dimensions. Last night was tough to swallow because in any other park Mets lose 8-6.

Wright's homer was hit off the end of the bat, opposite field, and made kind of a thud instead of a crack off the bat.

In Shea that ball gets caught about a step shy of the warning track...

For once these "smallparks" actually worked in our favor--it seems like the Mets always get victimized by guys with warning-track power who end up hitting game-changing homers.

The tables finally turned and they took full advantage. An excellent sign.

All in all, I was psyched for the homer, pumped by the pile-on, and relieved we only have 2 more games in this whiffle-ball stadium this year...
