sorry, i've been meaning to post my own thoughts but my lack of tech-savviness blocked me like willie roaf, circa 2000...
anyways, here i am. totally psyched about tonight's rainout--tommy boy gets full rest, carpenter will most like pitch on short rest, then weaver and suppan at shea. LOVIN IT!
i finally fell off the trax bandwagon and suffered a right thigh contusion of my own. still on the maine-train though. and loving perez--yeah, his #'s were rather abyssmal last night but he did exactly what we needed him to so kudos to the kid.
and to round out my support of mediocre-at-best pitchers, i've got a radical suggestion...if we need a spot starter, we've got one who has thrown a one-hitter where he retired 27 straight.
that's right--my boy, aaron heilman! why not? if trax goes on the DL (please lord) we can bring up ring to fill the bullpen spot and give heilman the biggest gift of his career--a post-season start. oops, time for my cocktail of paxil, zoloft, and lithium...
in summary, i'm feeling bloody good about the way things are shaking out here--especially since by the time we get to the series kenny rogers will have turned 60, verlander, robertson and zumaya will be past their primes, and julio franco will have turned to dust, opening another valuable roster spot...
