Looks like Niese may be getting called up to the show with Maine possibly out for the season.
There is really going to be a lot of pressure on Santana, Pelf, Perez and Pedro to go at least 7 innings in every outing down the stretch, and 8 where possible.

Or maybe there will be no pressure at all, since the Mets truly are a bunch of losers.
I'm just trying to figure out who blows a 7-0 lead.
Or who blows 10 saves in the 9th inning.
Or who blows 22 saves overall.

So I go back to my comments from 3 months ago, eerily prophetic now, that if Omar wants this team to win he needed to focus on bolstering the bullpen, which he did not.

Apparently Wags is feeling better. He's even playing LONG TOSS! In a week, he might try standing on the bump and throwing a baseball.
Unnamed sources have informed Shea Hey Kids that, should Wagner be able to throw a fastball above 74 MPH, The Gangsta has already decided to return Wags to closer duties.
