Isn't it about time for Larry to retire?

The way he's playing? 10 more years.

I think it's time for him to retire. Follow Andruw Jones' lead and head out to pasture.

On the plus side, I think Wright will be his equal, if not slightly surpass him. Chipper's seasonal averages over his career are .306 / .403 / 33 HRs / 110 RBIs, which would be phenomenal if Wright could provide that for 10+ years. The numbers over their first two full seasons are remarkably similar, with Wright having a slight edge in OBP, Avg, and RBIs. One thing that's amazing about Wright is how consistent his #s are: he has put up almost the same #s in nearly every statistical category over the last 4 years (if you average over a full season for '04 and '07). More importantly, they are excellent #s. Has to give you a lot of confidence in forecasting forward for him.
