They will need to go 4-2 through this stretch if they want to put themselves in good position to make the playoffs. The loss to Oaktown forces them to pick up a tough win somewhere else in the schedule, probably in this stretch. I'm just not sure what to expect. D has been suspect, Cro and Kyle W look lost, and Mangold's injury doesn't help O. Glad to see they did more power tosses to Greene in last game; I was getting tired of every run being a draw up the middle in first two games.

I'm kind of expecting to get blasted at Baltimore this week.
I think we go into Foxborough at 2-2, a game behind the Patsies, and I think that game will be critical. If we win, I could easily see us running off 4 straight wins, and playing the Pats at home with a 6-2 record. A loss, and we're probably 3 games back when they come to MetLife in wk 9.
As for the players, Cro's looked terrible, great, and terrible in 3 games. Very strange.
Wilson hasn't looked lost to me, but I haven't been keying on him, either.
I agree 100% on the power sweeps. Greene is a really solid runner once he's running downhill. But he does not accelerate quickly. All these counters, traps and draws do not maximize his running ability. I'd rather see LT or even McKnight running some of those plays.
I also have a real bad feeling about @Bal this week. Could get ugly in a hurry. Or, gang green could turn in a solid effort and surprise me a bit.
I discount the Cro good game in week 2 b/c of the QB. I think they are going to have to give him a lot more safety help over the top. That would also free him up a bit to jump some routes and go for the pick, which he's good at.
Greene is clearly so much more effective on the outside plays where he gets a good running start to the edge.
I also think the Jets need to add more quick release passes to their arsenal. It's the best way to offset the O-line not looking great so far. A few Holmes quick slants, LT block and release, or Keller quick outs would be good.
Jets have had good success against Pats in their first matchup of the season for a while now. The Pats secondary is still not good, I would gameplan a lot of Plax all-out vertical plays. D will be tricky, you almost need 4 corners and fewer LBs to deal with the quickness of Welker, Woodhead, Gronkowski and Hernandez.
You know, the passing game has just been off. I've seen Sanchez throw quick hit routes, and go vertical. I think he's been very average this yr (and u know I'm long his potential), and just has not progressed. A lot of bad reads,.dangerous throws, alternating with brain licks and eating the ball. So far I blame Mark more than Schott.
Then again to keep it on perspective, O has been o.k. not terrible.
Need to step up though to play state championship level.
