You've GOT to be kidding me
Well, this is not good news for the Johnnies. Three of their top recruits have been ruled academically ineligible, at least for the fall semester. Not a good start to the Lavin class.
I've been following this story, and the worse news is that 2 (or maybe all 3) of them are considering transferring.
I'm at a loss with this story. These are incoming freshman. How can it only be known now that they are ineligible? And in any circumstance, their inelegibility, it would seem, is the fruit of HS work, not college level work. Why transfer? Did SJU's staff fail to do something, or cross off all the right boxes, for them to attain eligibility? I'm so confused here.
What I do know is that their top recruit is included in this group, and if Jakarr Sampson goes elsewhere, that's a huge loss.
