Here's part of what he had to say about Sanchez, which I also think is pretty much on point:
Link to the full article on ESPN NY here.Namath believes the problems stem from the franchise's leadership, not embattled quarterback Mark Sanchez, who has been criticized in recent weeks by teammates following an 8-8 finish that left New York on the outside looking in at the playoffs."Mark made some mistakes this year, no doubt, but he can play," Namath said. "It's only his third year, man. You see guys out there who have played longer than that, making those same mistakes. He's going to learn from his mistakes and he needs the help around him."He presses at times, he wants to do things because he's expected to, and I think he got a little tired of being, 'The kid this, the kid that.' Hey, he's made it through three seasons now, and he's not a kid. He's a man out there. He's a man and, if they get the people around him, he's going to be fine"..."How about our man, Eli?" Namath said. "Hey, excuse me, he wasn't exactly welcomed with open arms and ... standing ovations those first few years. He endured. He's tough, he's wonderful and he's improved ... Eli is better than he was three years ago, two years ago. Right now, Mark Sanchez is going to better than he was this past season."

Looking at this with a set of BIG BLUE eyes I would like to remind some people about a very talented player was on the GIANTS who had alot of potential but had a huge freakin mouth and was yelling and screaming every time he didn't get the ball. They actually traded him away even though he was a fan favorite. Jeremy Shocky. Apparently in the huddles he'd yell at Eli to throw him the ball because in his eyes he was ALWAYS open. He was a cancer, he was cut out and now look at ELI(te)
Wow, now that there is no more jetties no one is reading this post. I post twice a month and I get no reply. I guess I need to change avatars weekly, them atleast D.C. would respond
WSJ had a brutal piece today mocking Jets fans. Read it here.
To which I say, suck it Pats.
Why is it brought up? Cause it's new york and you're a new york paper. If the hey fans are so irrelevant them why bother writing that story. Seriously you can't complain about something being a big story while writing about it in the WSJ. That guy is JABRONI
Pardon the typoes
