Fernando Martinez has been waived.
Unfortunately, this time they weren't able to trade him before his imminent failure as a major leaguer (unlike Alex Ochoa or Alex Escobar...).

The mets of the 2000s era will be remembered for many things, not the least of which is ridiculous overhyping of our farm system prospects. Everyone in MLB knew it and by the end no one was biting. The number of busts who were supposed to be the next great thing is absurd. Let's not forget to add lastings milledge and Carlos Gomez to the list.
How are we going to replace that production?

I initially changed mine because it want showing up for me. It looked like a exclamation point. But talked to Fredo and he let me know it was showing for him so me must be a click on my end. Therefore I'll go back to an old trusty one
