Remember when the Jetties were considering trading for Jay Cutler, but instead opted to draft Sanchez? Getting Cutler seemed like the "safe play" at the time--a guy who'd already made a Pro-Bowl.
Look at where he is now. The next Jeff George.
Trading for Cutler would have set the franchise back irreparably. It's amazing how 50/50 decisions can alter the fate of multiple franchises.

I can leave now, even with Grama and KGB... and halfway to paying Petrovsky back. That's the safe play. I told Worm you can't lose what you don't put in the middle. But you can't win much either.
Good article on LT at ESPN.com today, and also shows how focused Jets are this season.
