Linsanity
OK, so this kid actually has me interested in the NBA for the first time in years. Read his backstory here. If you can't root for this kid, there's something wrong with you. Schooled on fundamentals. Drilled himself silly. Immensely skilled, but unlike most such players growing up nowadays, he worked hard to hone that skill into something remarkable. Almost didn't get a chance (and let's face it, race prolly had something to do with that). Gets his chance. Kills it. And remains team-first to the core.
This morning I actually checked the paper to see when the next Knick game is.

Funny you should mention that...exactly the same here. The other night I wanted to flip on the Knicks lakers game and mrs. SHK was like why do you want to watch that, you hate the NBA and swore it off more than ten years ago b/c they're all overpaid, underperforming babies. I haven't watched an nba game in about a decade.
True dat.
Enter the shao Lin. That was enough to get me interested in the nba again, and actually rooting for the Knicks. Exact type of player and story I can get behind and root for.
And boy did he drop some knowledge on Kobe's ass. Guess he knows what linsanity is all about now.
I concur. Actually found myself flipping to the game between periods of the Rangers game. Also did ya'll hear what Floyd Mayweather said bout Lin. He is Jabroni
Mayweather is a DOUCHE. How about this, you moron. The reason people are making such a big deal out of Lin isn't because of his race, it's because of the cinderella story. Kid was undrafted, barely even made it to a college team, and was almost cut by the Knicks the night before the nets game. Also, how many Harvard kids blow up in the nba? AND to top it all off he's got the Knicks on a huge winning streak, back to .500, without melo and stoudamire.
But I'm sure your explanation makes a lot more sense Floyd.
Good thing for the Knicks is that it appears Lin can be a true point guard... Run the offense and distribute the ball. He had some money passes and alley oops last night. Just cut down on the TOs and he'll be solid.
