Random thoughts

It's been about 4 or 5 months since I've really watched baseball. Man did Ryan Howard drop a ton of weight.

Can't wait to see Philthies and Jankees out of the playoffs.

Johnnies will be a top 15 team within 2-3 seasons.

Jets can go on a roll after the bye, but have a tough 3 game stretch near the end of the season (Pats - Fins - Steelers). Revis not keeping himself in shape during his bogus holdout is really annoying me. His selfishness is hurting the team and defensive schemes; he has gotten beat for easy TDs in almost every game. Braylon is having a big season and seems very focused on the field.

Go Rangers!!! That was sweet. Hopefully my NY Gothams Baseball Club will close out the Philthies tonight.

In Jets news, Revis' holdout really changed the team. They've overcome thus far, but need him back to 100% by playoff time. Ryan will undoubtedly be second guessing playing him the last two weeks if Revis doesn't fully recover. On the upside, Ryan said in an interview on SNY this week that he thinks Revis could be 100% by the Packers game. Seems unlikely to me, but we'll see.

As for the Johnnies, Lavin has definitely gotten the ball rolling. He's got 3 or 4 Top 100 guys coming in, but no 5 star type players. He'll definitely return SJU to the middle of the Big East with that kind of talent, with a chance to ascend higher, but that will depend on team chemistry and in-game coaching, which has never been considered his strongest area.

Top 15 is a pretty agressive call for a team that has barely cracked the Big East tourney the last few years. It is possible, but only if the recruiting momentum continues and he starts landing some of the players that are now choosing schools like UK, UNC, Kansas, and Baylor.

BTW, there's this.

BTW, it's actually a brutal 4 game stretch at the end of the season. After the three you mention, we go on the road to Chicago in late December.

At least we get to end with the bills.

Revis claims he's back to 100% with bye week. I'll let his play on the field prove it. If so, this team is going to be hard to beat. Once our D gets back to last season's form, and Sanchez gets timing down with Holmes, we'll be on a roll.
