M.E.T.S.

Must End This Stupidity.

Barring some unusual move by the Mets in the offseason, this will be my last post about them for the year. (I'll of course now post exclusively about NFL here.)

As much as I've turned ripping on the Mets into a pastime, I realized yesterday how much I resent Wilpon/Minaya/Manuel and Co. I used to love the Mets and loved watching baseball; they were my favorite team and my favorite sport. But now I dislike the Mets and have no interest in baseball. Their hideous mismanagement of this team has completely turned me off from baseball. I find that to be very disappointing. I can only hope that completely new management is brought in during the offseason. I would really like to have a baseball team that I can believe in and root for again.

In addition to NFL, I'm looking forward to college hoops this year. Sounds like Lavin has been working his ace off recruiting and may actually be able to restore Johnnies hoops to national prominence.

Now THAT would be exciting.

One other post about the Mets. There's been a lot of talk about who the next manager could be: Backman, Torre, Valentine, etc. It's clear the Mets need a no-nonsense, get down to business kind of guy. SO there's really only one option: Big Jim Slade.

If the Mutts even consider Joe Torre for this job I will lose it

Of course, if Kyrie Irving is 75% of what he's supposed to be, deeyoukayeee will be unstoppable this year.
