Shocking

Have you heard the "good news?" The inept Mets ownership that is the Wilpons declared that Omar will be back next year, and therefore so will Jerry.

And therefore this fan will not.

You made my life easy. I was just about to write this post, but you did it for me.

There are several Mets players I really like and will continue to root for: Wright, Murphy, Santana, Parnell, Maine, Pagan, and Francoeur come to mind.

But if Mets management feels that Omar is worthy of job guarantee for next year, and the season hasn't ended yet, Mets management has lost me. How easy would it have been to say, "we don't make personnel decisions midseason. We'll evaluate Omar as we evaluate all our personnel in the off-season"?

Real easy.

And then to have Omar quoted as saying "Jerry's my guy" makes me want to hurl, or maybe cut open my big toe with an x-acto knife.

You know what? Until the Omar-Jerry regime is out of here, you can count on me to spend zero money supporting the franchise. Zero. No tickets, no jerseys, no mlb.com subscritiptions. Nada.

Sure, I'll still watch the occasional game on TV-- heck, I'd be paying for the same channel package with or without SNY. I'll still root for the Mets that are worthy of support. But I'm officially off the fan bandwagon until the franchise is liberated from Los Dos Amigos.

I'd add K-rod to the list as well. I know he's blown several saves since his red-hot 19/19 start (or whatever it was). However, I'm willing to give him a pass this year given the sh*t sandwich that was this season. I don't know how anyone could be motivated to go to Citi and play their best for this management. So I'd like to see what he could do next year, because I like his energy.

Well just got into my truck remembered about the 1:05 start. Closed the windows and put on the AC so I could hear the game better. Popped on preset #1 to my Met station heard the 2 and 2 pitch to Ryan Howard. Turned off the AC opened the windows and am now listening to my favorite basher of liberals and democrats. So excuse while I go hit up Occob.

Hey, Beetz--I didn't know Fredo has his own radio show...

Three paragraphs worth of things to say every four or five days? Wouldn't make for very entertaining listening, me thinks.

That is one talk show I'd enjoy. A three hour show with 20 min sports talk every hour and then 40 min of breakin down Dylan lyrics. Put it on at midnight and I'll finally get a good nights sleep.

For those of you who don't remember...

I once did have my own radio show.

Hilarity ensued.
