Money based decision, obviously. Still, I think this kid is doing himself a disservice. You have 3 years to show you deserve a big second contract. Mo is going to need to add a lot of muscle to succeed at the next level. Hope it works out for the kid, but I think he's making a mistake.

ReplyDeleteIt seems any time St. John's recruits a player of any discernable level of talent, they jump ship ASAP. What makes this so painful is the Johnnies' limited ability to attract good players (much less true blue-chippers).
They are not a program that reloads every year for another deep tourney run and any time they show a glimmer of hope it is snuffed out like a match in a hurricane. I like to call it the Artest Paradigm.
