I'm going to make a prediction
If we find someplace to stick Murph in the field, and therefore don't trade him, he's gonna win a batting title. Has a Met ever done so? If not, he's gonna be the first.
i think you guys are probably right. However, i still think that if ollie gets his head together he'll hurl a no-no. And how interesting would it be to see Murph win a batting crown and lead the league in errors at any position...
Cleon Jones, John Olerud, and Mike Piazza all came close but no one's done it yet.
ReplyDeleteWhich will happen first - first Mets no-hitter, or first batting title? I say no hitter with Johan.
ReplyDeleteI'd also go with no-hitter. The way Johan's throwing, this year or next year seems like a real possibility.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the research, D.C.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta figure he's going to blank the Nats or some other crap team one of these times.
