The mets of the 2000s era will be remembered for many things, not the least of which is ridiculous overhyping of our farm system prospects. Everyone in MLB knew it and by the end no one was biting. The number of busts who were supposed to be the next great thing is absurd. Let's not forget to add lastings milledge and Carlos Gomez to the list.
