If David Wright's play on Willingham isn't a web gem,
I don't know what is.
Wow, talk about a truly great play. Not only a superb diving stop along the line, but then to get up and rifle that throw to first. I guess he's having an ok game so far, 3-4, 3 RBI, 3-R HR, 2 R.
Yeah, that was a nice play. I didn't see the replay to see whether delgado's foot was on the bag and it really was an out or not. Watching it in real-time it looked like the runner was safe by a hair and the 1B ump just wanted to end the misery, but still a great barehanded scoop by wright.
also great was church gunning out ramirez in first inning at 2B. That was a beauty of a throw.
Not great was the castillo catch on a bloop shot, then delayed throw to reyes who whiffed completely.
His SECOND play against Willingham to close out the game was a web gem as well. Heckuva start for the Mets O.
